Do you know the pain of switching between multiple projects in Unity? Or rather opening new ones often? If so read on for quick solution to right click to Open as Unity Project!
As it is for now you need to open new instance of Unity, then choose project (if it is not in recently used – you need to search for it in system tree..), click open and you have your project open. If you work on or need to search for something in multiple Unity projects it can be really annoying and time-consuming. I suppose you have your projects organized in some folder structure (if not – you should 😛 ). Would it be awesome to right click on projects folder and instantly open it in Unity? Yes? Here you go!
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
"MUIVerb"="Open as Unity Project"
@="cmd /c start /D\"c:\\Program Files\\Unity\\Editor\\\" Unity.exe -projectPath \"%1\""
Copy this and save as .reg file, then double click on .reg file to add to register.
WE ARE NOT AUTHORS. Just found right click Open as Unity Project while watching MVA tutorial. Adam Tuliper wrote this awesome stuff. Thank you very much Adam!
